What is Fermented Honey Garlic?
Fermented honey garlic is gut-healthy and an easy ingredient to add to dishes for extra zingy flavor! Garlic is a natural immune booster and great to have around as a sickness preventative. Similarly, honey is an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties, which aid in staying healthy. Honey is a natural preservative, and in the recipe, it ferments the garlic as it sits for a while in the jar. Fermented honey garlic is shelf-stable, so you can make a big batch if you desire, and keep it in your medicine cabinet or add it to recipes.

Directions for Fermented Honey Garlic:
- Peel the garlic cloves but leave them whole. You can cut the stem end off if you desire.
- Place garlic cloves in the mason jar.
- Fill the jar with honey an inch from the top of the jar.
- Swirl around to cover all the garlic cloves with honey.
- Seal the jar and place it in a cool, dry place for a minimum of one month.
- After a month, use the garlic and honey as desired. The garlic is good indefinitely, but the honey will start to solidify. If your honey solidifies a lot, you can gently heat up the jar to soften the honey enough to spoon it out of the jar.
